Yet To Be Determined This application seeks Resource Consent from the Hamilton City Council for land use consent to continue to operate a temporary car parking lot for a further two years at the property located at 62 London Street, CBD, Hamilton. The existing car parking lot on the site of the former St. Paul's Methodist Church and associated car park, has been operating as a temporary car parking lot since October 2019 (original consent 0.0.2019.00010305.001) whilst the long-term development plans for the site (and the adjacent car park in Victoria Street owned by the Hamilton Methodist Church Trust) are investigated. The reason for this application is to allow the Kirikiriroa/Hamilton Methodist Project Development Group, a governance group representing the Hamilton Methodist Parish and the Hamilton Methodist Church Trust, (the local Methodist property-owning and stewardship trust), more time to work on the detailed feasibility/business case for such a significant proposed $100 million redevelopment of the 6,000+ m2 property. We are very aware that the 'ground has shifted' in terms of the commercial reality of demand for retail and commercial office space in Hamilton's CBD, and we have to reassess our original ideas for a mixed development. We are all no less committed to trying to provide an affordable housing element on the site, but there is much to consider. We also have gain approvals at local, regional and national levels as well as find suitable funding partners.

If it is yours, claiming it puts the council record, the title and what it costs you to hold in one place — and lets you put your lending, insurance and power out to people who compete for them.
We check your name against the registered owner on the title before a claim is accepted. Nothing on this page changes for anyone else, and no provider is contacted until you ask.
What the council's published maps say about this land. A map is a model of a storm, not a record of one: a LIM or a flood report says more.
We do not hold flood maps for Hamilton City yet.
Counts describe the records we hold for this territorial authority, not a market forecast. OwnBetter has no estimate for this property. Every council figure on this page can be checked against the council's own record.
