discharge of 562 cubic metres of field tile drainage water per day at 9 Jackson Road, legally described as Part Section 28 Block I Waimata SD. The discharge will go into an open Matawai Road (SH2) roadside drain leading to the Taruheru River, at a maximum rate of 13 litres per second. The applicant has stated that the discharge will only occur when there is significant ponding due to the high groundwater level on the subject property during wetter winter months (May to October). Nonetheless the proposal is for a continuous discharge (24 hours a day, 365 days per year).
